Commercial Litigation

A courtroom is not the ideal place for resolving commercial disputes, but sometimes litigation is necessary.  When a commercial client must sue or is sued, we emphasize an efficient and early resolution of the case.  We have litigated and tried nearly every kind of case that can be brought against a business, including consumer protection actions, lender liability actions, and fraud actions.  Our expertise in real estate matters generally gives us the skills to handle complex real estate litigation, such as partnership litigation, breach of fiduciary duty cases, zoning and property disputes, construction litigation, specific performance actions, and property purchase litigation.

Unlike most commercial law firms, we actually have tried commercial cases.  Our attorneys have gone to trial in business cases and have obtain excellent results for clients.  When a case should be settled, we recommend a quick settlement rather than waste of the client’s money by engaging in discovery that does not move the case to a conclusion.  We keep discovery to a minimum and take an action only when it will help resolve a case and save clients money.

Commercial cases tend to be document-heavy and many law firms waste time and money trying to organize paper.  We do not.  Our computerized document organization system allows us to pick out and organize the crucial documents that can make or break a case.  These abilities mean we can give clients the best results for the best price in a highly complex and expensive area of litigation.
